Imagine you get hired as a scientist by a company to study their product, and after finding results which they don’t expect, they refuse to let you publish your work, they discredit your research, they do everything to destroy your career, and even start threatening you with violence.

Corporations don’t do research to improve their product but to back up their claims for it. Tyrone Hayes had to feel it on his own skin what it is like to be completely abandoned even from the institution that should protect him and his work – the university he works for.

Interesting: The product he researched has already been banned in the European Union, but is still for sale in the U.S.
