Photo: Stanka VukelićEasy dips for an afternoon break
This is one of our afternoon snacks of excellent taste and great value for your body. We enjoy ourselves along carrot sticks and sesame dip – you should do that as well.
Of course, you can also use it in various combinations – as a spread/dip for veggie rolls/pockets or as a spread/dip for bread or pizza. It is a perfect dip for celery stalk, or other vegetables. Also great for zucchini noodles!
Easy dips made easy –
Preparation time: 10 min.
Soaking: overnight or 8-12 hours
Ingredients for 2 people:
1/2 cup of ground sesame seeds
1/2 cup of cashew nuts soaked overnight
1/2 cup of almonds soaked overnight
3 medium garlic cloves (or as you like)
1 fresh-squeezed lemon
2 teaspoons of black miso
pinch of sea salt
1/2 cup of water
Methods/steps –
1. Put the cashews and almonds separately into two jars and cover with fresh water. Soak it overnight. After that, wash well a few times, and peel the almonds for better taste.
2. Grind sesame seeds in a clean electric coffee grinder; grind until powdered.
3. Put all ingredients into a blender.
4. Process until well combined and creamy.
5. Serve and enjoy as soon as possible.
6.Alternatively, store in refrigerator in a sealed container. Stays good for 5 days, maybe more, we’ll never know, because it is eaten up too soon.
Options:
Instead of black miso, use any miso or soy sauce. If you use soy sauce, don’t add salt!!!
