Gel Talk: Terry Border’s hard-to-describe project

Posted by on Dec 13, 2013 in Blog, Creative Lab, Inspiring Stories, Video | 0 comments

Introduction from Gel Talks Everyday objects take on surprising and often hilarious roles in Terry Border’s hard-to-describe project. For years now, this unassuming photographer-sculptor-bargain-bin-shopper has worked with snack foods, office supplies, toys, and other items to create evocative and bizarre scenes. Making something great out of “throwaway” objects is a recurring Gel theme, and Terry’s work is a perfect match. To really get it, just watch the presentation – one of the most entertaining Gel talks ever.   Terry Border at Gel 2008 from Gel Conference on Vimeo.   All credits go to Gel Talks and Terry Border. Posted by on Dec 11, 2013 in Blog, Health & Food, Inspiring Stories, Video | 0 comments

Video   Permaculture expert Geoff Lawton takes us on a virtual tour of a 2,000 year old food forest in Morocco. This is the real definition of oasis. Imagine coming across this lush green growth in the middle of the desert! Imagine walking along and helping yourself to date palms, olives, figs, pomegranates, guavas, citrus, mulberry, tamarind, carob, bananas, quince and more. This is still stable after 2,000 years.     This is one of the extras featured on Geoff Lawton’s DVD “Establishing a Food Forest”. All credits go to him. Inspiring movie for a weekend – La Belle Verte / The Green Beautiful

Posted by on Dec 6, 2013 in Blog, Inspiring Stories, Video | 0 comments

As part of an intergalactic coalition, a well-meaning space alien volunteers to bring a message of self-actualization and harmony with nature to the one planet rejected by all her peers as incorrigible–Earth. This family-oriented French sci-fi comedy chronicles her adventures on the chaotic planet. Mila is 150 years old and has five children; encoded in her brain are two telepathic programs designed to restructure the thinking of destructive humans. The first is a fairly mild program designed to inspire the humans to rethink their world and begin asking some difficult questions. The other is far stronger and rapidly indoctrinates subjects with lofty utopian ideals and makes them deeply aware of themselves. Greening the Desert

Posted by on Dec 3, 2013 in Blog, Daily Talk, Inspiring Stories, Video | 2 comments

Video / Visuals by Stanka / Introduction by Alen Mischael Vukelić   This is one of the most amazing projects I’ve come across. An area which everyone would consider infertile, sterile – dead, is now a fruit oasis. It’s virtually a desert area, which was entrusted to Geoff Lawton and his team to “green the desert”. And they succeeded. Just imagine what the possibilities were if applied on a bigger scale………… I will let you now jump right into it.   All credits go to Geoff Lawton and his team. Do you lie to yourself?

Posted by on Nov 13, 2013 in Blog, Daily Talk, Inspiring Stories, Video | 0 comments

Video / Visuals by Stanka / written by Alen Mischael Vukelić Photo: Stanka Vukelić Lying to yourself Do you lie to yourself? Why do you do that? If you lie to yourself, then you probably lie to others – as well. And as a result your life becomes a mess, and you start blaming others for the same mess you’ve created. Funny, isn’t it? The worst is that you know it, but you keep repeating – this lie that you are not lying to yourself – endlessly, because you fear that if you’d stop others would discover that you’ve been a liar all along. That’s your biggest fear. But what you don’t know is that you might discover who you are – if you’d stop lying to yourself – and this is something you fear as well. Persona non...

Urban self sufficiency: Food share – go ahead, take some, it’s free!

Posted by on Nov 6, 2013 in Blog, Health & Food, Inspiring Stories, Video | 0 comments

Video / Visuals by Stanka / written by Alen Mischael Vukelić Photo: Pixabay A urban self sufficiency project in England Self-sufficiency does not just mean to have control over your resources; it means freedom as well. Todmorden, a community in England, has managed to grow their own food in public places, which eventually means in their places, since a town or city belongs to its residents, doesn’t it? The end of this division starts right here, because it cuts off the perception of the invisible public, which is represented by the local leadership, and the residents who usually have no influence on the usage of public space. First steps towards urban self sufficiency About two years ago, somewhere in the beginning of 2011, a permaculturist, Bernard Alonso told me that in Canada – in the town where he lived –...

Live Like You Are Dying, 3 Mental Exercises To Enjoy Life

Posted by on Oct 29, 2013 in Blog, Inspiring Stories, Video | 0 comments

By Stefan Molyneux Photo: Pixabay Live like you are dying The joy of life comes back instantaneously when we are brought back from imminent death. Honor yourself, and you will honor life. This is a small introduction from Stefan Molyneux’s website: “Stefan Molyneux may be perhaps the most eloquent “red pill” in the alternative media. A self-described philosopher, Molyneux has a strong knowledge of history and a core compass reading of freedom and non-violence. He hosts a popular radio broadcast on his FreedomainRadio; his Youtube uploads have been viewed over 6 million times on his channel alone, and his site claims over 25 million downloads making his ideas the “largest and most popular philosophical conversation in the world.” His articles can be seen on mega-sites like Lew Rockwell and others; he has published several books on the philosophy of...

New social network created in under three minutes

Video / Visuals by Stanka / written by Alen Mischael Vukelić Photo: Pixabay New social network I’ve wondered many times how a grassroots movement or new social network starts out of nothing – here’s an example. This video, created by youtuber AmazingLife247, gives us a quick instruction how to create a new social network, political movement, or, in fact, just any movement in under three minutes. I got it from James Corbett – from the corbettreport.com website –  in my subscriber newsletter; I just had to share it with you. Sometimes a movement can start innocently and healthy……..    ...

The People’s Voice – independent news Radio & TV station

Posted by on Oct 4, 2013 in Blog, Inspiring Stories, Video | 0 comments

Visuals by Stanka / written by Alen Mischael Vukelić Independent news on TV For those who still haven’t heard about it – the underground media is finally creating its own Radio and TV channel, which will broadcast uncensored – especially ‘mainstream forbidden’ content – and independent news through the Internet. I can’t tell you how happy we are about this! It was such an obvious thing to do, but the time wasn’t ripe to connect all independent reporters and researchers and give them a platform to show the material they’ve gathered. It is an exciting project started by David Icke and an enthusiastic team that gathered around him, to launch something which has never been done before. The initial funds were gathered in June of 2013 through a crowdfunding platform. More than 8000 people contributed and raised £300.000 to buy all...

The Corbett Report | Boycotts and Buycotts

Video / Visuals by Stanka / written by Alen Mischael Vukelić Another great episode of The Corbett Report: “The battle against the New World Order is designed to demoralize us. No matter how we vote, no matter what politician we vote for, no matter what legislation gets passed, no matter what rallies people attend, nothing seems to fundamentally change. If anything, things only seem to be getting worse and worse. So how can we effectively fight back against the powers that shouldn’t be. The answer, it turns out, might be remarkably simple: stop feeding the beast. Join us this week on The Corbett Report as we explore the power of the boycott.”     organictalks.com      ...

Mental health: Sell your crap, pay your debt.

Posted by on Sep 7, 2013 in Blog, Daily Talk, Inspiring Stories, Video | 0 comments

Video / Visuals by Stanka / written by Alen Mischael Vukelić All photos: Screenshots What does freedom mean to you? Adam Baker is asking the right question at the right time; his talk is a perfect example for conscious, awakened living; uncovering the trap of the never-ending cravings for material possessions (crap, as he calls it). I think most people agree on this, but they have little understanding that they are in this trap too! Buying stuff which we cannot afford is slavery to banks and corporations; the satisfaction we get from buying all this crap is too short and disproportionate to the price we pay. This talk naturally picks up where I left off in my recent article Totally indebted, where I explain how banks function, and why it is so easy for them to get us into...

How to spot a liar

Posted by on Aug 31, 2013 in Blog, Inspiring Stories, Video | 0 comments

Video / Visuals by Stanka / written by Alen Mischael Vukelić   How to spot a liar tells us about trust “Lying is a cooperative act.” I love this one, because it clearly reflects the true cause for almost all atrocities we see today; be it politics or business, or our own personal relationships; it comes down to trust and being trusted. Anyone who does not understand this is contributing to all the miseries this world is facing. I think it’s time to remind people of Pamela Meyer’s Ted Talk, where she explains this topic in detail. If you can watch this without interruption, then you are probably on the right path.     All credits go to Ted Talks / Pamela Meyer  ...

UK’s Poynton wraps up traffic lights!

Posted by on Aug 27, 2013 in Blog, Inspiring Stories, Video | 0 comments

Video / written by Alen Mischael Vukelić Can you imagine a major intersection without traffic lights? Maybe you can, but what about a major intersection without any rules, without any signs, except one: SHARED SPACE. This amazing project was inspired and directed by Martin Cassini and Ben Hamilton Baillie (from Equality Streets) and brought into existence by some – obviously – very sane people in Poynton. By watching this video; it is almost impossible not to think about what deregulation actually means, and how wonderful it can affect people’s lives. Enjoy watching how people behave when big brother is not around. Afterwards, take a look at their website, to see what they are up to right now: http://www.equalitystreets.com/     organictalks.com  ...

112 and counting

Video / written by Alen Mischael Vukelić Bernando LaPallo is a huge inspiration for anyone seeking a long, healthy and balanced life. This video (in three parts) is from 2010 when he was 109 years old. This year in August, he will be 112! He is another example showing the undividable relation between diet and healthy living. You have probably seen videos of people being very old, but this is different. Bernando moves and looks like he is in his 70s – no joke, see for yourself. Thank you Bernando for showing us how to do it! Enjoy watching.     Thanks go also to Paul Nison (The Raw Life Health Show) who made the interview.  ...
