I love this Barry White interview; to me, it is everything what music is about; giving values and a right attitude without screaming and yelling at you. The messages are hidden inside and in between the lyrics, the vibe, the groove.
I think it’s amazing how much you know about a musician just by listening to the music; nevertheless, the digital world gives us an unprecedented opportunity to hear the masters speak for themselves, although – for me – it was always clear what he is going to say.
Today’s music industry creates stars out of thin air, but not artists with integrity – like Barry White. Enjoy this wonderful conversation held in Paris in 1990.
